Marcus Webb, 35, co-founder & CEO, Goldenseal Cleaning CompanyMarcus Webb has a team of nine that generates more than a half-million dollars in annual revenue by providing cleaning services to East Tennessee schools. He co-founded Goldenseal Cleaning Company in 2018 and became one of Knoxville’s first specialized high school football postgame cleaning companies.Webb is committed to addressing the local workforce shortage, and he is a donor to several youth sports programs.When you reflect on your career so far, which achievement stands out most?The achievement that stands out the most is still being in business after six years and having the ability to hire my own kids and nephews.What is the greatest professional obstacle you’ve had to overcome and how did you overcome it?My greatest professional obstacle was trying to gain customers in an oversaturated market dominated by franchise cleaning companies. My success is the result of my mom not giving up on me. My dad sharing all his business insight. My sister sending me inspirational texts. My brother having the idea to start the cleaning business.
