Michelle Willis recognized at 2025 Black Excellence in Real Estate Awards

Michelle Willis, assistant vice president and ‘community development manager’ for Wilson Bank & Trust, was named Top Producer and Homeownership Impact Award recipient during the 2025 Black Excellence in Real Estate event, hosted by NAREB Nashville Chapter.

Michelle Willis, assistant vice president and ‘community development manager’ at Wilson Bank & Trust, was honored with two awards at the 2025 Black Excellence in Real Estate Awards. The event, hosted by the Nashville Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), took place on April 3 at the National Museum of African American Music in downtown Nashville.

Willis received the Homeownership Impact Award for her leadership in mortgage loan production, which contributed to increased Black homeownership in the Nashville area. She was also recognized with the Top Producer Award, acknowledging the highest number of loans closed and the greatest total loan volume among her peers.

“Michelle’s dedication to serving others through homeownership is a reflection of what Wilson Bank & Trust is all about,” said Wes Taylor, senior vice president of ‘consumer, small business, and mortgage lending’ at Wilson Bank & Trust. “Her work is transforming lives and helping build stronger communities across Middle Tennessee. We’re proud of the impact she’s making—and proud to have her on our team.”

Wilson Bank & Trust served as a Gold Sponsor of the Nashville NAREB chapter’s annual awards event. The bank emphasized its alignment with NAREB’s mission to support Black real estate professionals and expand access to homeownership.

Founded nationally in 1947 and with the Nashville chapter established in 1997, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing democracy in housing and narrowing the racial wealth gap through homeownership. Its members, known as ‘Realtists,’ advocate for equity and transformational change in the real estate industry.

Wilson Bank & Trust, founded in 1987, operates 31 full-service branches in 10 Tennessee counties. The community bank offers a wide range of personal and business banking services, including mortgage lending and online banking, with a focus on building strong customer relationships.
