Honestly, the reason I’m making all these videos is because I have two friends, and they both want to move out. One Can and the other one shouldn’t because his not ready.

1. You Have a Curfew
– The problem is not the Curfew the problem is that you have problem with it
– When that starts to happen its showing that you want more independence

However:
– Like So many parents say, this my roof, you live under it, those these are my rules
– And unlike being 12 and running to your room ( its time to start considering moving out )

2. You Don’t Have any Privacy
– I never had an issue with this
– But I know some friends that their parents have literally removed the Locks from their doors
– And they say, in my house there is no privacy

Again:
– If you crave privacy and not having interruptions, then having your own apartment or just understanding roommate can help

3. You a Toxic Relationship with your Parents
– Obviously you have the extreme where you are being mentality or physically ( Mamused )
– But then you have the toxic, energy where you love your parents but you guys are just on two different planets

Advice:
– Good news is, that ones you move out, a lot of the time the relationship improves
– Because you just visit and then leave

4. Your Commute is to Long
– When you are kid, your parents build their lives around their homes
– But onces you get older and you start building your life ( things might further away )
– So the trade becomes shorter Commute or Stay home and save money

Usually:
– I would take the L on the commute until I’m ready financially to move out

5. Tried of giving constant Updates about your Life and whereabout
– I think this is the most childish thing ever ( being mad about someone asking you where you are )
– But you really get mad at ( asking you where you as if you cant be trusted, or they wanna make sure )

6. Your Parents are Dropping Hints
– As a Dominican and growing up in Spanish household, we tent to stay with out parents until we get married ( so it was actually the opposite for me ) – don’t leave
– But some parents do want you to leave
– If you are 30, no Job, and no Prospects ( we got a problem )

7. You Don’t have Basic Life Skills
– Now this one is stupid so I wouldn’t do it
– But if you don’t know how to take care of yourself, become an active member of the family and ask to learn how to do everything

Today:
– I have a housekeeper which is my aunt who does that type of work
– But If I didn’t have the cash I could take care of everything also

8. Its about that time ( age wise )
– If you are teens and early 20s no problem ( or had a problem and had to come back home )
– But if you are in your 30s, with a job, friends and money ( and you still want to stay )
– At some point you have to fly on your own

9. You’re financially Stable
– Truth some people are financially stable but get very stingy about spending their own money
– And they don’t want to move out because it’ll cost them money
– Moving out is apart of growth ( it’ll help you operate from a place of self )

10. You Crave independence ( that one is self explanatory
– But overall before you make the decision make sure you’re ready and that you wont have to come back home.
