When you think about life and the end of the life, you know for sure a few things. You people arent think about how they should have made more money, how they should have worked more hours and how they should have never bought that avocdo toast.

However in reality there are 5 main regrets people have, when the end is near, and these regrets were put together by a woman that worked in the health field and delt with a lot of these cases, so she knows.

The Courage to Live the Life they wanted

This isnt about being a rebel and saying, I’m going to do what I want to do and Yolo

No its more about, the things society imposes on you and things you never accomplish because of it

Society says, be responsible focus on working hard, and paying off your home but they don’t really value the things that don’t have monetary prices

Things like:

Trading money for time with your family

Taking a job that allows you to spend more time in fellowship with the church

Saying no to a promotion so you have time to pursue your hobbies

For me Personally:

I wrestle a lot with the standard capitalistic attitude of not being content with what you have and just working to get more

I’ve learned what’s enough and how to be content with that

And value time most

I wish I hadn’t work so Hard

I told you in the beginning, no one gets to end and says, I wish I put in more hours on the clock

Work is something we do, to be able to live a decent life

But when work becomes everything, even when you don’t need to work as hard it becomes a burden

For me personally:

I see this a lot of with my grandparents

My grandpa refuses to stop working or to work less

While my grandma is slowly lossing her health and I can see him regretting that in the end

But God in his providence has giving certain situation to be force to work less

I wish I had the Courage to Express my Feelings

Resentment and bitterness are two sins that hurt the sinner and not the person

Its crazy to think about it

If my friend did somehting, that I absolutly cannot stand, and I don’t tell him and I feel bitter about it, he will be just fine and continue to do it and I will be bitter and hurt

Me personally:

I learned that love isn’t avoiding conflict

But confronting people with the truth, with patience and humility

Bible taught me that

I wish I had stayed in Touch with my Friends

This is valid but also dangerous

Some friends it’s a good thing youre not in touch with anymore

And other friendships you should hard to maintain

Here what I learned:

A call every week, can maintain a relationship.

Don’t assume that friendships are things you don’t have to work on

Because you do and you must maintain them
