5 Books I Wish I Read Sooner

To be honest I’ve read a lot of books, but I’m not a computer, so its not like I can recall all the good idas in the book, but I can usually recall the top idea and sometimes the 1 good idea. They call this the golden nugget within all bbooks, it’s the reason why we read.

So here 5 books, some are favorites but some impacted me in a massive way and force me to take action, and in this video I’ll share that with you also.

Stolen Focus: why you can’t pay Attention – and How to think deeply again

This is book I still struggle to apply to my life

When I think about my screen time and how much time I spend on my phone

It boggles my mind, and I have moments when I do good and moments when I don’t do that great

But in this book:

The author talks about how he went on a break from tech and his life did see some improvemewnt but it wastn a life he could sustain oviouisly and how he would go through ups ands downs

Take away: When I think about this book

But there is one takeaway and it’s the 90minutes on and 15m off focus sessions ( and how you’re only able to focus for about 4 solid hours per day )

I also remember how to structure my time and how to eleminate apps that you don’t need from your phone ( for me I’ve tried several times but keep falling back )

But I’ll keep trying and adapting

Here are some things I’m testing:

Do all the hard task in the morning

Have a time for everything, a time for work and a time for play

The barefoot investor

A lot good information in that book and he even has a few steps to financial freedom

But what makes this book so memorable to me

Is that it’s the book that finailly convinced me to become debt free

I must admit:

I don’t think the author was so convincing and that’s why I did it

But it was all the other books and advice that finally wore me down.

And when I read this book, I was ready to receive advice and take action.

Things I did and still do:

I closed down all credit cards

I save up for things that I want ( which is a little frustrating sometimes lol )

Stop Acting Rich

Just like everyone, I have an ego and I have ideas about what success should look like and I never questioned it

But the day I read this book, it made a stranger to my friends and family

Beucase I finally realized that I was liivng a life that didn’t help me acoomplush what I wanted

This book:

Tell you who the rich people, what they do and how they got this

It tell you their habits and also what they drive

The book is so detailed and tells you why people think that rich people act a certain way but in reality they don’t

The action I took:

My goals became less materialistic, I didn’t want fancy cars or a big house

I wanted financial freedom and that’s exactly what I worked towards

And its not like you shouldn’t spend any money, but you should spend on the things you truly value not on what marketing companies tell you, you should value

Bible: Rc Sproul, John Macarthur and John Piper

The bible has 66 books and is divided into 2 parts, the old and new testament

And I’ve read the bible since I was about 5 years old, beucase I went to a religious school

And then I started to read it again in my teenager years
