The worst thing in the world to be is hearing that a friend is getting finessed, meaning they are getting played or over paying for something.

Example the acquisition of cost of a customer and also what $50 in monthly savings means $600 bucks a year.

1. Phone Bill : lower your plan, Negotiate a discount, switch companies
– The company I use has been Tmobile for the 6 years almost and my bill started at $70 a month unlimited everything
– And today I pay $149.12
– But before you freak out let me explain ( I’ve been able to get 3 phones for free, and also have an additional 4 lines )

Step by step:
– Be nice and Firm ( you are talking to a person not a robot )
– Find competition to compare your services to ( this way they know you know )
– Then ask them what can you guys do to lower my bill ( and don’t say a word ) – let them talk
– And the whatever number they say, say that’s a little to high, is possible we can do X amount ( make sure you know where you want your bill to go to )

Tip: one big thing I do is I look at what they offer new customers
– Add some lines with friends and family

2. Internet Bill : Example ( Liberty and Claro ) 500mega and 1gb
– I just moved and my internet bill is supposed to be $170 for 1gb internet and also cable and landline ( its just included )
– I only pay $105 dollars as a new customer and get everything else

3. Credit Card Interest Rate : you can change the date, ask for lowering the interest , remove a late fee, switch cards for better rewards

In order to this:
– You are going to need leverage, a history of good ontime payments is best, showing them you always pay
– You are also going to need incentives ( telling them you have an upcoming big purchase and don’t want to pay so much interest – it’s a white lie because you don’t have to buy it anytime soon or put it on the credit card )

Tip:
– The best way to avoid a late fee, is to ask for first time curtasy
– Second time is to say you’ll set up auto pay to avoid this
– Third time: Say the truth that you have a problem with money, and you don’t want to default, so your making an effort to make payments but you can pay so much in late fees.

4. Cable Bill: The best way to save money here is to cut it off but I understand some people want Cable. (over 50M people use it )

Example:
– My aunt and her husband pay approximately $70 a month just for a cable no interest
– The best way to save money is: Eliminating channel you don’t use, Ask for a credit for loyalty, and consider bundling the service

6. Your rent
– Reduce the things you don’t need: Pets for example
– Extend your lease
– Be a good tenant

– Use competion in the area
– Remove things you don’t need
– Ask at the right time ( when you lease is about to end )

– So much insurance but you can always compare prices

Tips and Trick:
– Set your bills on auto pay
– Pay for a full year of service all at ones
– Cancel the bills you don’t need ( gym memberships replace them for yoga classes )
