The long wait is finally over for Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, as their long-awaited bonuses have been paid in full, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to reports, the players received their cheques shortly after their game against Egypt in Accra. Team officials who were also due payments have now been settled.

Each player was paid $9,000, covering their total bonuses for the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) held in Morocco.

The payment brings relief to the team, who had been anxiously awaiting their entitlements following their impressive performances during the tournament.

The gesture is expected to boost morale within the squad as they continue preparations for upcoming international engagements.
