Highlights included the 13th annual Pure Heat Community Festival at Piedmont Park, the Gala & Influencer Dinner, R&B Brunch, Empowerment Mental Health and Wealth Brunch, and nightly parties at Atlanta’s top venues. Returning for its sixth year, Mayor Andre Dickens’ Atlanta Black Pride Reception at City Hall honored outstanding leaders and cultural contributors, with appearances from TS Madison, Saucy Santana, Tiffany Evans, Suki, Terrell Carter, Milan Christopher, Diamond The Body, Reco Chapple, Melissa “DJ M” Scott, Steezo, 4N Yardi, and Damez, among others. At the reception, Da Brat and Jesseca Harris-Dupart were presented with the Cultural Impact Award by Mayor Dickens. Friday, August 29, featured the fourth annual Black Excellence Influencer Dinner, hosted by RockStars Production and Traxx Girls at the Starling Hotel. The fundraiser recognized honorees including Attorney Jasmin Robinson, Filmmaker Des Grey, Actor/Stylist Carter The Body, former NBA Player Ty Young, Journalist Keith “K. Keith” McRae, Fashion Designer Reco Chapple, State Senator Rashaun Kemp, and Acting Executive Director of NAESM Wayne Woodson. Sunday’s Pure Heat Community Festival brought the city together for a free day of unity, featuring live performances, market and food vendors, entertainment, educational forums, prizes, and giveaways. TS Madison received the Humanitarian Award, while Trinity K. Bonet and celebrity wardrobe stylist Ryan Christopher earned the Trailblazer Award. Fans also enjoyed a special set from Saucy Santana, blending fan favorites with new tracks. The weekend was powered by Gilead Sciences, with support from GayE Magazine, V103, AHF, Men Engagement Network, Grady Memorial Hospital, SOCAH Center Dermatology, American Red Cross, Snap4Freedom, PFlag, The Law Office of Amanda Young, Sean Lamont Originals, Nation Hotel Group, Bavarian-Nordic, Human Rights Campaign, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
