Black Dog Animal Rescue Schedules Vaccine Clinic, Fundraiser | News

It is a busy August, Black Dog Animal Rescue BDAR has two big events that they want to share with you. First, Black Dog Animal Rescue will host their third Community Vaccine Clinic of the year on Saturday August 17, 2024. The clinic will take place from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at BDAR’s location in Cheyenne – 2407 E. 9th Street. Second, BDAR’s annual football raffle fundraiser has tickets on sale now until September 5th.

Vaccines will be available for cats and dogs at low-cost prices ranging from $0-$20. Available vaccines include rabies for both cats and dogs, DA2PP and bordetella for dogs, and FVRCP for cats. Thanks to a generous grant from Petco Love, Black Dog Animal Rescue is able to provide the DA2PP and FVRCP vaccines completely free to the community! They will also be offering rabies and bordetella vaccinations for $20 each.

We are doing a Walk-In only format for this vaccine clinic. We will start accepting walk-in’s at 9am and stop taking them as early as 11AM. Our Veterinary partners have to leave by 1PM, so we will stop taking in animals when we are full. We suggest that you show up early at 9AM, so that we can make sure you get seen. All animals must be brought in either on leash or in a carrier, and all animals must be accompanied by a handler. If you have two animals you are bringing in then you need two adults to handle those animals.

Additionally August means football. We have started our football raffle fundraiser. Tickets are 1 for $10 or 10 for $100! Ten tickets covers the cost of one spay or neuter for a dog or cat in our care. Each ticket has two random numbers that correlate to different NFL teams each week during the regular season. If the two teams on your ticket are the highest scoring teams that week then you win $100! You are eligible to win once a week! You can learn more about and buy tickets for our football raffle at BDAR.org/football. We are always aiming to have fun while raising money and the best way we know how, combining our love for animals and football fun!

Black Dog Animal Rescue’s mission is to promote, provide, and advocate for the needs of companion animals.
