Black Eats Week 803 wraps up, spotlighting local Black-owned food businesses

The 2nd Annual Black Eats Week 803 (BEW803) ends today! This event highlights Black-owned restaurants, food trucks, bakeries, creameries, and more in the Midlands area.

Established in 2023, BEW803 aims to support Black entrepreneurs in the food industry, providing a platform for awareness and discovery. The event features special menus, promotions, and community activities.

“We are excited to spotlight Black-owned food establishments again this year,” said Khali Gallman, event organizer. “Last year, over 2,500 people were served, many of whom were first-time customers. This event creates awareness, stimulates the local economy, and reveals great food!”

Notable participants include Rebel Dogs and Annie B’s Mini Donuts.

Details are available on the FREE Soda City Certified app and the BEW803 website. Follow @BlackEatsWeek803 on Facebook and Instagram for updates. Enjoy the best of Black Eats Week 803 from June 17-23, 2024!
