Dallas, Texas is getting a new hub for its diverse entrepreneurs. Blueprint University was founded by 26-year-old Kaila Cherry as a way to empower innovators of color, building community and ideas. With Dallas as the headquarters of The Blueprint University, Cherry is poised to make a significant impact in the field of entrepreneurship by becoming a “catalyst for success” within the city and ultimately across the country. Its launch event for the Dallas Startup Club on December 13 brought together ambitious and thriving business owners to network and build with each other as they expand their endeavors. The goal of Blueprint University and its headquarters is to foster a support system for people of color, which Cherry considers vital to one’s success when starting a new business venture. Along with creating the Dallas Startup Club, this initiative will aim to provide monetary resources, such as access to angel investors and guidance to diverse entrepreneurs who need it most. “We believe every entrepreneur deserves the opportunity to succeed, and that’s what Blueprint University and the Dallas Startup Club are all about,” says Cherry. “We want to impart not only the knowledge but also the financial support and resources needed to turn dreams into successful businesses. Dallas is a hub of incredible talent, and we’re here to bring it all together. Cherry’s organization will tackle the existing barriers new business owners face, such as access to capital financing and expert insight when turning their dreams into reality. Through mentorship opportunities, workshops and innovative programming in development, Blueprint University and Dallas Startup Club seek to bridge the gap and create vital connections between Fortune 500 companies and diverse professionals. To be part of the future of Dallas’ entrepreneurial scene, sign up to stay on top of the growing network.
