The strongest consumer products are built on your actual behavior, not your ideal behavior.

Companies like Spotify, Amazon, Meta, and Netflix have all focused on this. For new startups to compete, they need to focus on the actual behavior, then layer the values of the ideal behavior on top.

Focusing on ideals first may get pats on the back from industry insiders or celebration on social media, but focusing on actual behavior is where the real traction comes from.
