Celebrating Juneteenth with Facebook (Special Episode)

For Juneteenth , we had the pleasure of shooting a special episode of Money on the Table for Facebook employees. It was such a cool experience and we even got a chance to answer questions about the FIRE movement, investing and the 4% rule.

But that’s not the only reason this project was so meaningful for us.  The sponsoring organization was Black@ (facebook’s Black employee resource group).

It’s well known the tech industry pays competitively so this select group of high earners have a very real opportunity to 1)save and invest at a high rate so they can 2) achieve FI far more easily than most people can.
So…we’re rooting for them and everyone like them in tech, law, engineering, medicine and other professional fields.

We want them to protect their health and we want them to take advantage of the financial benefits made available to them.  Most importantly, when they’re done leading teams and high profile projects, we want them to rest so they can lead their families, communities and the next generation of wealth builders behind them.
