CES 2019 Officially Kicks Off In Las Vegas


Techies from across the globe have descended on Las Vegas for the largest tech event on the planet.

The mammoth operation includes more than 4,500 exhibitors, an estimated 180,000 attendees, 50 conference sessions, and a record 1,200 startups with more than 20,000 products launching this week from the show floor.

Topics up for discussion are everything from sports, robotics, smart cities, 5G connectivity, artificial intelligence, and much more. Must-attend keynotes are IBM Chairman, President and CEO Ginni Rometty; Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg; and CES Executive Vice President Karen Chupka, among others.

The Technology’s Innovators and Disruptors supersession is also one to watch. Shelley Zalis, CEO, The Female Quotient moderated the panel with Patrick Brown, CEO and Founder, Impossible Foods; Arlan Hamilton, Founder and Managing Partner, Backstage Capital; and John Padgett, Chief Experience and Innovation Officer, Carnival Corporation & plc.

While CES opens today, the full week of innovation kicked off on Sunday and Monday with Media Days, CES Unveiled, and a preshow keynote from LG. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES 2019 runs through Friday, January 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
