Chattanooga Business Elite Celebrates Local Black Businesses | Local News

The Chattanooga Business Elite is celebrating Black Business Month with the 2024 Level Up Summit on August 15.

The Summit kicked off with a discussion from both Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly and Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp. They talked about how the city and county are working to support and grow black and minority-owned businesses in our community.

“We actually do an HBCU tour where we do a lot with our young people: getting them ready for this next level in school and business, helping them become entrepreneurs and thrive and pursue the dreams that they have,” said Shay McCowan, president of the Chattanooga Business Elite.

The event included knowledge-sharing sessions, networking opportunities, a $500 grant money giveaway, and more.
