Coahoma Community College’s Assistant Choir Director Zsa’Xhani Davis Shines at Congressional Black Caucus Presidential Brunch

Clarksdale, Mississippi —Coahoma Community College proudly announces that Zsa’Xhani
Davis, Assistant Choir Director, delivered a stellar vocal performance at the Black
Excellence Brunch.

The brunch was hosted by President Joe Biden and his administration and was held on
the iconic South Lawn of the White House. This groundbreaking event was organized
in partnership with the Black Excellence Brunch Series and coincided with the Congressional
Black Caucus Presidential Brunch, celebrating Black leaders and trailblazers from
across the nation.

Davis, who has been an integral part of Coahoma Community College for the past two
years, captivated attendees with her powerful voice, performing for an audience that
included President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, key policymakers, and dignitaries.

The event aimed to honor the remarkable contributions of Black Americans across various
fields, and Davis’ participation highlighted her status as a rising star in both academia
and the music industry.

“I am deeply honored to have been a part of such a historic event,” Davis remarked.
“Performing at the White House, in front of so many influential figures, is a moment
I will cherish forever. It was not just an opportunity to showcase my talent, but
also to represent the incredible work we are doing at Coahoma Community College.”

In addition to her role as Assistant Choir Director, Davis is no stranger to the professional
music scene. Her impressive résumé includes working as a background vocalist for Grammy-winning
R&B singer Monica, performing at high-profile venues and on major stages. This blend
of professional success and academic dedication has made her a key figure at Coahoma
Community College, where she continues to inspire and mentor students with her passion
for the arts.

“Zsa’Xhani’s performance at the Black Excellence Brunch is a testament to her outstanding
talent and dedication to her craft,” said Dr. Kelvin Towers, Chair of Fine Arts Department/Director
of Choir Activities at Coahoma Community College. “Her work within our music department
has not only enriched our programs but has also raised the profile of the entire college.

The Black Excellence Brunch, hosted by the Biden administration, brought together
influential Black leaders from various sectors, including politics, arts, entertainment,
business, and education. The event celebrated Black achievement and underscored the
