Columbia Black Expo 2025 returns to celebrate culture and community

The Columbia Black Expo 2025 returns Saturday, promising a day filled with culture, community, and celebration at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds.

The annual event, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is recognized as African American excellence and empowerment.

Attendees can experience a full day of cultural exhibitions, networking opportunities, wellness activities, and performances by notable guests.

This year’s lineup features a fireside chat with actor Morris Chestnut, a special appearance by lifestyle influencer Tabitha Brown, live performances by singer LeToya Luckett, gospel artist Todd Dulaney, and Columbia’s own 803 Fresh.

In addition to celebrity appearances, the event will include:

  • Shopping with local Black-owned businesses
  • Government and community resource booths
  • Health Pavilion with on-site screenings and mobile mammograms
  • Senior Lounge hosted by Humana, offering wellness resources and lunch voucher giveaways
  • A Spades Tournament with high-value prizes (on-site team registration required)
  • Line dancing and giveaways at the main stage
  • VIP Lounge hosted by Tito’s Vodka, featuring an open bar and silent disco

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture’s Change SC initiative, Fresh Produce, will also be distributed at the event.

Organizers said the Expo celebrates progress and pride for the Black community.

Tickets are available online here and onsite.

Event organizers said guests should arrive early and enthusiastically, “This isn’t just an event—it’s the heartbeat of the community.”
