To be held at Littleton’s Grant Family Amphitheater on September 25th, the concert will include Graham Good and the Painters, Face Vocal Band, and Rob Drabkin. Delaware The Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) has announced grants totaling $545,000 in support of 31 nonprofits. The awards are part of the foundation’s Meet the Moment initiative, which aims to help 100 nonprofits adapt to federal funding changes by supporting scenario planning, new revenue models, legal assistance for mergers, advocacy and other adaptive strategies. The program will also support an additional 69 nonprofits that will receive free training in August. Kentucky The Community Foundation of Louisville has announced the recipients of its 25th annual Vogt Invention and Innovation Awards. Six early-stage companies will participate in a 10-week accelerator program and receive $25,000 each in non-dilutive grant funding, as well as start-up coaching, mentorship from industry veterans, and strategic introductions. They may also qualify for an additional $25,000 each from a program partner. This year’s winners are Due Gooder, Essential Innovations, KidVestors, Nongo, Proper Pilots, and Revitalized Solutions. Maryland The Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) has announced that the Black Philanthropy Circle (BPC) has reached $1 million in grants to nonprofit organizations that directly support Black people and communities in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Established in 2022, BPC is a donor-advised fund of BCF that supports Black-led or Black-centered nonprofits in areas such as arts and culture, economic welfare, education, community organizing, the environment, human services, and health and wellness. Nebraska The Omaha Community Foundation has announced the appointment of Kathy (Schuele) Schubauer as director of donor services. She previously served in the development department of the University of Nebraska Foundation. New Mexico The Santa Fe Community Foundation has announced the winners of its 2024 Piñon Awards, which recognize local nonprofit organizations and philanthropists for their contributions to northern New Mexico communities. This year’s awardees include Amigos Bravos, Free Flow NM, the Friendship Club, and Sunrise Clinics. Ohio The Dayton Foundation has announced the 2025 recipients of its Award for Excellence in Community Leadership, which recognizes community groups that have established committee-advised funds through the foundation and that are driving positive change by demonstrating best practices in community organizing, fundraising, collaboration and strategic planning. The three awardees—MercyPets, Kettering Educational Foundation, and the Engineering and Science Foundation of Dayton—will each receive $850. Pennsylvania The Pittsburgh Foundation has announced that regional nonprofits providing basic needs services will receive nearly $1.9 million as part of its #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert online giving event in response to the ongoing economic challenges faced by families and individuals in the community. Contributions were spurred by $550,000 in incentive funding provided by the foundation alongside the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County and their donors. The incentive funding included $50,000 earmarked for Westmoreland County organizations. Since the inception of the Critical Needs Alerts program in 2013, the Pittsburgh Foundation has raised more than $17 million through the campaigns, including incentive funds. Rhode Island The Rhode Island Foundation has announced grants totaling nearly $375,000 in support of dozens of organizations working to address needs in Newport County. Recipients include Bike Newport, Child & Family, Conanicut Island Land Trust, and Day One. West Virginia The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation has announced the first grants awarded from its Building a Sustainable Future Fund, an endowed initiative created to help nonprofits reduce energy-related expenses, build capacity, and redirect those savings into mission-critical services. Two grants totaling $35,000 were awarded to the West Virginia University at Parkersburg Foundation and First Assembly of God. Wisconsin The Eau Claire Community Foundation has announced the completion of its inaugural Community Health Grant Cycle, awarding more than $70,000 to local organizations whose programs improve community well-being and promote health equity in the area. Funded through the Community Health Endowment Fund, the grants include support for Feed My People Food Bank, NorthLakes Community Clinic, the Community Table, and Chippewa Valley Free Clinic. The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation has announced the launch of Press Forward Northeast Wisconsin, part of Press Forward Locals—a national network of 36 chapters working to revitalize local news. With support from Press Forward, the chapter will work to create a landscape study to identify gaps in local media, convene partners and donors to strengthen local news, and develop the fundraising capacity needed for long-term sustainability.
