Counterfeit Money: How to Spot Fake Bills

Now In this video I’ll tell you how to make sure you don’t get scammed by someone giving you fake money and then you finding out later. Now the truth is, you should always check money for authenticity, not because you don’t trust the person but because you don’t know where the money came from.

For example, when I was 17 I had PlayStation 4. I listed it on craigslist and from the start to finish the transaction was fishy. Guy came with an envelope said he just went to the bank. And gave me the money, the money felt weird, and tested with he test but in reality it was to dark outside. I got scammed for almost 300-400.

1. Don’t do it
– I want to say first, I know some scammer might be watching this video, or maybe you’re thinking about getting into this game
– Here are consequences: penalties of around 5k-15k and or 15 years in prison ( I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to serve 15 years in prison for printing money )

On top of that: the government Makes it Hard ( printer, Photoshop and other software, Scanner)
– They all have an algothrim to prevent this from happening
– If you ever tried to print money, it wont print it

And have you ever asked yourself:
– Why do we have so many versions of money
– Its because when ever the counterfeiter catch up, the government switches, and then they have to restart ( its just so high risk its not worth it )

Tip: stick around till the end and I’ll also tell you a story about a guy that crascked the formula and got away with it.

– Pen: iodine Solution that turns yellow when it makes contact with the startched in the paper ( but I do have a warning )
– Light test: Put up to the sun or your flash light on the phone and see if you can see the faces on the side ( watermarks)
– Machine: infared technology to verify if the bill is fake or real

Truth is: this is a uphill battle meaning it will never end
– Its why we have new versions all the time, because they want to make it harder and harder to counterfit
– Question: you ever ask your self why we have so many variation of the same currency, why do they constantly change it

4. So I took the Government presentation on checking money
– And their advice is to follow this three step plan
– Feel the paper, Titl the Note and check with light

Feel the Paper:
– The US Currency has a unique testure to it, it feels rough to the touch and not to soft and hard ( pause )

Tilt the Note:
– They use color shifting ink on all the denominations of $10 and higher, and it changes from copper to green
– But the $100 bill also has the $100s in the ribben and the color changing bell

Check with Light
– Matching portrait for the denomination
– Unique Security Thread
– When expose to uv light they glow a specifit color
