There were social media posts from IWRG Lucha Libre and Riot Lucha Libre to announce the passing of Black Terry, real name Esteban Mares Castañeda. Terry was 72 years of age. He’d tallied up 50 years in the pro wrestling business and his last documented match was on February 28th of this year. He’d made his way through CMLL and multiple independent promotions across the country of Mexico. Throughout his career, Castañeda went by several different ring names such as Black Terry, La Gacela, El Hijo del Diablo and Guerrero Maya.
