For The Culture KS cancels this years fest, gala celebration to continue as planned

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – For The Culture KS Fest, scheduled for July 26 and 27, has been cancelled for this year.

According to a press release from For The Culture KS, the Gala, FTC KS’s fundraising event that helps fuel their mission and supports the work of the nonprofit, will still be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Townsite Plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

“This decision was made with heavy hearts but clear vision. Each year, the love and strength of our community inspire us to dream bigger. While stepping back this year is difficult, it is a powerful act of faith—faith in our mission, in our people, and in the lasting future we are building together. A pause is not an ending; it is a promise that we are preparing for an even greater rise,” said Rodney Harmon, Executive Director and Co-Founder of For The Culture KS.

The Black-Tie Gala has sold out the last two years, so it is recommended to purchase your seats or table right away. The evening is a gathering of visionaries, artists, healers, and builders who know that Black excellence is not a trend, but a tradition.

Tickets include a dynamic speaker, silent auction, dinner, a music performance, dancing, and a scholarship presentation for youth.
