Girl, 15, and driver dead in Merseyside school bus crash



A coach driver and a 15-year-old girl have died in Merseyside after a school bus overturned on the motorway. The girl has been named as Jessica Baker.

North West Ambulance Service declared a major incident. Ten children have been taken to hospital and nearly 50 others were being assessed at the scene, Merseyside police said.

Calday Grange Grammar School, in West Kirby on the Wirral, confirmed that the crash on the M53 involved one of its coaches, which was carrying 54 people.
