Grant applications open for sign, façade enhancements in Selma |

Two grant applications are available from the Selma Redevelopment Authority (SRA) for sign and façade enhancements in the downtown district.

SRA is granting funds totaling $20,000 to improve the façades of business in the district that includes the Alabama River north to JL Chestnut and Martin Luther King Street west to Church Street, as well as six contiguous blocks enclosed by Dallas Avenue and Mabry Street.

“The goal is a vibrant, clean and appealing downtown area with historic structures that have been preserved or restored to support businesses and our community,” says a statement from SRA.
