I actually managed to save 10k while in college and obviously, that means I made a little over 10k.

1. My Budget
– First of all my budget was simple, don’t spend money on things that I didn’t need
– It’s too extreme if you ask me, but it is what I did
– And I wouldn’t do it again, because once you reach your goal you are likely to spend all the money because you need a break

Thankfully:
– I lived at home and my mom didn’t ask for money
– And I spend $10 a day on food and about $130 on transportation
– At this point in time I already had a bunch of clothes so I didn’t need to do that

2. Main Jobs and income
– I did work-study, in the financial aid department and also in the security department
– My favorite was security because it allowed me be walking around and so on
– My boss was amazing but then later I found out that he cheated on his wife

I mention this for two reasons:
– He got fired and I don’t know if it cost him his marriage or not
– But I did see how it changed his wife
– And it just showed me, that cheating is never worth it

My second main job was working at Gap ( I worked here for 3 months seasonal)
– This job I hated
– Because it was so far away and I was making like $10 an hour or so
– But I should had a better attitude about it, and transferred closer later

In total these jobs made me per month
– About $1500 on average per month
– And $2,000 dollars on a good month
– It’s hard to remember honestly

3. Side hustles:

– Sell Textbooks: At the end of the semester we were in charge of clearing out lockers, I took all the textbooks and sold them
– Sell Phones: when I lost my iPhone 7, and my insurance company gave me another one, it inspired to start buying and selling
– Sell sneakers: I had 23 pairs and I sold every single pair eventually, but first I told 14 and then a few years later sold the remainder 9
– YouTube videos: I made about $2 from YouTube after 1 year of posting I think
– Photography sometimes: I think mi made less than $1000 dollar in total for sure

4. Overall: I didn’t do anything great
– I just got jobs and side hustle
– And I tried my best to not spend money and make more money

If I could do it all over again:
– First I wouldn’t have spent the 10k once I made it on garbage yes I did that
– I would have spent $2000-$5000 on a car
– And I would pay my student loan debt and invest the rest and keep investing
