Will Page’s 2022 annual report on global music copyright places the value of music at $41.5 billion. Recorded music accounts for 63% of that figure, while songwriters, publishers, and their CMOs get 37%.

The report is a reminder of how nuanced and fragmented the music industry is. It’s not an easy problem to solve.
