The holiday season is upon us! So let’s talk about how to save and budget for the holidays. Here at One Big Happy we love the holiday season. Starting with Halloween and rolling on through to New Years Eve, this is our favorite time of year. But it’s also by far the most expensive time of year. It is so easy to blow your Halloween budget or your Christmas budget, especially if you are frugal living minded most of the year.

In this video, we share our thoughts on how to budget, especially budgeting for the holidays. Yes, it is absolutely possible to save money during the holidays!

We completely understand the urge to go all out on your holiday budget. We have spent most of the year on debt pay off mode and so we want to let our hair down a little too. The thing is that if you want to stay on track with your financial goals, its really important that you stick with your budgeting plan (or make a holiday budget if you haven’t already, then stick with that). Otherwise you will be starting off your new year on a bad note.
