1. Do not Be misled bad company ruins good morals
– Morals are your ideas about right and wrong and will define how you treat other people also
– When you hang around broke people, that’s a symptom of something in their lives
– Maybe they exhibit a lack of self-control or a lack of seriousness in life

I used to have friends:
– And his ideas were as long what I do doesn’t hurt anyone, then it’s no one’s business
– He never wanted to work and when he did work it, he could never keep the job

Results:
– When I would push about how his actions affected his father
– How him not getting a job or staying consistent at something is not a good habit
– Eventually, we hang out less

2. Vanity of Vanities
– This is an inflated pride in oneself and also one’s appearance
– Usually, poor people are more interested in not looking poor than they are in not being poor

I used to have friends:
– He cared so much about how he looked, and he bought a lot of clothes and a lot of things that would get attention
– I realized that all of these things were worthless and the reason he got them was not even worth
– And I started to question why i wasted so much money

Results:
– Eventually, we stopped having those things in common and we stopped talking

3. Never Ending ambition
– You see its not just the poor in money friends that you poor
– But its also the poor in spirit friend that keeps you poor
– It’s the friends that no matter how much success they accomplish, they always want more and are never satisfied

I used to have friends:
– I admired him a lot and spent a lot of time with him, I saw how hard he worked and how much money he made
– At the same time I saw how he postponed his happiness until he was done with something
– That something never came
Results:
– I questioned why he did so much
– Eventually, we stopped talking and he continued to climb and be just as unhappy

4. Keeping up with the world
– My friend started with nothing and via hard work and a lot of risk accomplished a lot
– And he didn’t realize that the cost was to high
– A cost that would have to work until he could no longer work

We no longer speak
– Beucase we no longer see eye to eye
– What he deems worth the hassle
– I see as a waste

5. Fools

He has no interest in priorities in life
– Doesn’t like advice
– Gets into debt
– Makes mistakes after being warned
– Filled with bad desires
– His fool
