Well the video is not click bait and its also not one of those videos where the bank accidently deposited a billion dollars into my account, and I was rich for 1 business day but then they took it away.

1. Tommy What are you Talking about, Explain it
– You know how inflation eats up your savings because your money is losing value ( its like the guy that saved $50,000 when he was 20 years old, 80 years ago, and he wrote a will to his grandson saying you’re rich because back then that wouldn’t have been 911k )
– I tell you this because inflation affects savings, but expenses affect investments
– Meaning $1 today with inflation is worth a lot less tomorrow but 1$ invested instead of spent is worth a lot more in the future

So why I’m saying is This:
– I checked my bank account and saw a lot of subscriptions and bills that I honestly did not need
– So I researched, how much money would $10 a month invested be worth In 30 years if I make 11% on it
– So I figured out that me spending 9.99 here and 9.99 there is the equivalent of thousands of dollars

But seriously: Money is hidden in your bank account because you have expenses that you think are small but don’t see the true value in them. And the average person spends $273 a month on subscriptions it use to 237 but it went up.

2. How much Money did I Really Safe ( me as in Tommy )
– Well let me show you my bills before I made changes, I was spending $342.19 per month on subscriptions
– After my changes I only spend 169.44 ( meaning im saving $172.75 per month

3. And you might be wondering well tommy where is the 455k
– Its in m1 Finance
– And I’m showing you this money to get your attention not to show off
– But what really matter is the return you can get on your investments ( this makes 11.47% on average )

What does that mean:
– It means my $172.75 in savings monthly if invested for 30 years will make $455k
– Now you might say Tommy 30 years is to long to wait for that or even 20 years but here is my response
– I know that 30% of you are 18-24, another 30% are 25-34 but almost 20% of you are 35-44
– So if you are around that age of 44, if you had done this 20 years ago when you were 24 my age you would have 147k ( and all of you that are younger, don’t have these regrets and get it done now, and you that are older, you still have time to catch up )

– Remember 80% of the money you spend on expenses is on 20% of your expenses ( so saving on subscription is step one, but lowering your rent $1000 per month can do a lot more or paying off your mortgage or getting out of debt )
