Illinois manufacturers can apply for safety training grants

The Business Training Center at Black Hawk College recently received workforce training grant funds to help small Illinois-based manufacturers offset their safety training costs.

The grants will pay for up to 50% of safety training, while funds last, the center announced.

Classes will be offered through Black Hawk College. The availability of these funds is limited and grants will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The grant cycle ends March 31, 2025.

Training topics include, but are not limited to: Safety Audits, 10-Hour General Industry, 30-Hour OSHA, First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, Hazwoper and Hazwoper Refresher, Fork Truck and Confined Space.

Small companies interested in taking advantage of the grants should contact Julie Gelaude at (309) 796-5715 or [email protected].
