Jesse Owens, Adidas, The Nazi Germany Olympics



It’s still wild that Jesse Owens won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, wearing Adidas shoes designed by members of the Nazi Party.

As a Black man, not only did Owens ruin Hitler’s racist fantasy of an Aryan-dominated Olympics, but he did it while wearing Adidas shoes manufactured by members of the Nazi Party.
