Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant Hold Hands on Red Carpet

For Keanu Reeves’s Broadway debut, he felt the full support of his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant.

On September 28, the visual artist came out to cheer on her beau, as he kicked off his run as Estragon in Jamie Lloyd’s new production of Waiting for Godot at the Hudson Theatre. And for opening night, the pair looked oh so in love as they walked hand-in-hand on the red carpet.

At the event, the Matrix star wore a black blazer over a white dress shirt, and he accessorized with a silver striped tie and slate, pinstripe pants, while adding a surprising touch, by slipping into a set of brown workwear boots with orange laces.

The couple each offered their own takes on red-carpet dressing.

Grant, meanwhile, wore an onyx, square-neck dress paired with a dazzling diamond princess necklace and black leather flats with silver embellishments.

The pair have been friends for over a decade, and they started dating over six years ago.

The two are clearly still going strong, even if those recent marriage rumors might not have been true.

Over the last couple weeks, reports began swirling that the two had secretly tied the knot. However, Grant shut these rumors down last Wednesday, with an Instagram post that saw her and Reeves kissing within a large art installation.

“This is a real photo,” Grant wrote in her caption. “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss! (Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it… given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!) We’re at Roden Crater, and Keanu and Gard had just finished interviewing James Turrell for Visionaries.”

The visual artist continued: “I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”

Although the couple may not have said “I do,” they’ve continued expressing their love for one another, and just a couple weeks back, Grant showed her excitement for Reeves’s Broadway debut on Instagram.

“To Keanu – who is not on social media, and with whom I’ll share this later – your hard work and dedication to trying something new and brave is so inspiring, artist to artist,” she wrote. “Your Estragon is funny, lonely, pensive, philosophical and shares your ability to sleep anywhere, at any time! So honored to go on this creative journey with you!”
