Keanu Reeves hit the town with Alexandra Grant on Monday night, showing up to his latest film premiere in a rare red carpet appearance with his girlfriend.

The 60-year-old actor celebrated the premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in Los Angeles on Monday, December 16. Reeves, who has voiced the video game favorite in all three Sonic films, walked the carpet hand-in-hand with Grant, 51, whom he has been dating since 2017.

The famously private couple looked happy and dapper on the red — technically blue, in honor of Sonic — carpet, smiling for photos while matching in dark ensembles. Grant wore a classic black dress with sparkly silver embellishments that complemented her silver hair. Reeves, for his part, donned a deep navy blue pin-striped suit with a maroon, navy and white striped tie.

Reeves and Grant’s sweet premiere moment on Monday night marks a rare public outing for the couple, who have only stepped out at a handful of red carpets in their seven years of romance.

The Matrix star has long kept his personal life close to the vest, with he and Grant confirming their relationship two years into it, by hitting up the red carpet in 2019.

Ten years earlier, in 2009, the pair met at a dinner party for the first time and went on to collaborate on several projects together before officially getting together romantically in 2017.

In a rare glimpse into their relationship, when asked when his last moment of bliss was, Reeves told People in 2023 that it was while he was laying in bed with his “honey,” Grant.

“We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great,” the John Wick star gushed. “It was just really nice to be together.”
