Keep West Monroe Beautiful receives trash can grant to help with littering in Ouachita Parish

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Keep West Monroe Beautiful has received a Trash Receptacle Grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful to help with littering throughout Ouachita Parish.

The grant will allow nine metal trash cans and one black plastic trash can to be installed in the downtown West Monroe area and Restoration Park.

“We at KWMB are grateful to Keep Louisiana Beautiful for the opportunity this offers us for the citizens and visitors who frequent downtown and Restoration Park,” said KWMB President Stuart Hodnett. “This grant will allow us the ability to increase awareness of litter prevention efforts in West Monroe by offering more trash receptacles.”

Keep Louisiana Beautiful says the grant will help reduce the amount of litter throughout the state.
