Happy Days Group founders and co-owners Alan Cosgrove and Peter Shriversman are asking people in the Liverpool City Region to think of someone who deserves to make their Happy Days dream come true. Alan and Peter (an adopted Scouser!), are both passionate about bringing happiness to the people of Liverpool and beyond. To celebrate the annual International Day of Happiness, taking place on 20 March 2024, they are asking people in the Liverpool City Region to think of someone deserving of a happy experience; Have a nice day, and may your nomination do the same! Do you know a neighbour, family member, someone from your local community shop or centre, or someone from your local school, who has gone through difficult times, or you believe that, for whatever reason, they Deserves the perfect happy day? There are four categories of nominations; A child/young person aged 17 and under, an adult aged 18-64, an entire family, and an older person (aged 65+). The inaugural awards ceremony will take place on 20 March 2024. Alan and Peter hope that this initiative will be the first of many in the future – and will grow into a larger movement, joining the many other wonderful initiatives already run by amazing Scouters across the region. Peter Shriversman said: “Liverpool is a special city. We take care of ourselves. We believe we all have our own network and platform – and we need to use it for more than just financial gain. It is this sharing and supportive spirit that will get us through these difficult times.” The next application process for 2024 nominations will open on Tuesday 2 January 2024 at 12pm and close on Monday 12 February 2024 at 5pm.
