Losing Friends To Make More Money

First I want to define what a friend is, its someone that knows the good and the bad, and still likes you. That’s what a friend is. When I was broke, I had a lot of friends, a lot of people knew and hanged out with, and then when I decided I didn’t want to be broke, 6 years later looking back I only have 5 friends that I can really say know me and I can trust with everything.

Here is the truth, alone the way, I lost romantic relationships, my best friends and lot of people that I use to have a in common with.

So why I’m I making a video about this, its to tell you growth is hard but its apart of life, and you cant have growth without lost, and I also don’t like the idea of cutting of people like their useless or treating people like assets its disgusting. So here are 3 lessons I learned

1. You can’t Change Someone (even with the answers to their problems)

-This one of the saddest parts

-And its somethings that’s been done to me in the past also

-But you can’t transform someone from your own efforts, that decision has to be born out of them

Let me explain:

-I naturally can’t shut about money, and trying to help people with money

-So when I learned what I learned and I tried to help my friend with new habits and ideas

-No matter what I did, it just didn’t stick, they we’re not willing to do it

So here what I learned

-My cousin years ago tried to tell me about Jesus, he planted a seed in my, he showed me his example, and he always remained close but gave me space

-That was 12 years ago, and last year I finally became a Christian

-My point is, don’t expect people to make decisions as fast as you, even if you know it’s the best decision (but also don’t risk corrupting yourself and your habits, and your hard work around them, that space protects you also)

2. People are like magnates (I don’t know how it works but I know its true)

-Bad people tend to be around bad people

-Good people tend to be around good people

-Damage people tend to be around damaged people

Here my idea on that

-Humans are not designed for Lone wolf mentality, we need relationships

-And the relationships we usually seek are the ones that make us feel best

-When I had a twisted mentality about money, I made friends that taught the same as me

But here is the Good thing

-When I decided to change my mentality and I made new friends, some in life a lot of the others in books and online

-A lot of the friends I had before, naturally started distancing themselves, because I was different

-I made them feel uncomfortable

-I didn’t talk about the same things anymore

3. Quality over quantity

-It’s not just a cool quote, but its just common sense

-With something you can have quantity and quality

-Like communities, I can have 10000000 houses of good qualities and set up a system to manage it

However: with people its different

-You can’t have 1000 friends, mentality that would become a full-time job that will drive you mad

-For me my 5 close friends are more than enough and as I keep walking maybe I’ll make a few more

-But relationships are complicated, they take a lot of work and they are definitely worth it

Some closing advice:

-You don’t lose friend because of money

-You lose friends because of habits and the transformation you have to go through
