Meet Apple’s new racially diverse emojis

Tech giant Apple unveiled new racially diverse emojis Monday. In addition to emojis representing different races, Apple also added dozens of country flags.

Apple pledged to increase the diversity in its emoji keyboard last March after a public outcry over the limited options. A petition at DoSomething.org collected thousands of signatures. Pop singer Miley Cyrus even tweeted about it, helping it to go viral on Twitter.
