You need a decent camera to make YouTube videos, decent audio or a basic microphone, and lighting. You can use a dslr camera to make YouTube videos or you make YouTube videos with your smartphone, webcam or a cheap camcorder. For my YouTube lighting Setup I’m using two lights primarily but will be switching from these to LED Bicolor Panel Lights which in many opinions are the best lighting you can get for YouTube. My YouTube lighting setup is a 2 light setup mostly due to my space and complexion, lighting setups can differ based on filming space and skin tone so you have to experiment.
