Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has launched a new venture capital firm, Build Your Legacy Ventures (BYL Ventures).

This innovative firm aims to create growth in sports and entertainment industries by connecting founders with industry leaders.

“This fund is not just about capital,” Antetokounmpo stated in a press release.

“It’s about forging partnerships and opening my network to accelerate the growth trajectory for companies. I want to help other entrepreneurs, especially those who have faced barriers, to grow and succeed.”

Backing Women in Sports

BYL Ventures has already made headlines with its first investments, including Unrivaled, a professional women’s 3-on-3 basketball league co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

The league aims to redefine women’s basketball, creating a platform for athletes to showcase their skills in an innovative format. 

This aligns with his vision of leveraging BYL Ventures to empower underrepresented voices and inspire the next generation of changemakers.

Beyond Basketball: Expanding the Legacy

BYL Ventures is only the latest addition to Antetokounmpo’s growing portfolio. 

Earlier this year, he launched Improbable Media, a film production company, and has invested in ventures such as the Milwaukee Brewers, Nashville SC, and LA Golf Club.
