“Not Like Us” was #1 in U.S. but not Globally?



Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” was the #1 most-streamed song in the U.S. in 2024, but globally it didn’t crack the top 10!

On our latest Trapital episode, we poured through the data on Spotify, YouTube, and Luminate to find our streaming surprises— the songs that were streamed more or less than we would have expected them to.

The results say a lot about how music consumption has evolved based on audio vs video platforms, regional preferences, business models for big tech companies, and social media.
