Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence names two from Moore as Academic All-Staters | Community

For more than 30 years, the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has united top public school educators and high school students statewide at its Academic Awards Celebration.

This event celebrates high school seniors as Academic All-Staters and five outstanding educators with the Medal for Excellence. Educators’ stories and experiences create unforgettable moments, showcasing the brilliance and positive impact of Oklahoma’s public schools.

Two Moore-area students were named Academic All-Staters: Moore High senior Joe Black and Westmoore senior Mark Nguyen.

Since 1987, the foundation has selected 100 graduating seniors annually as Academic All-Staters. This prestigious award provides each recipient with a merit-based cash award and medallion.

Black and Nguyen were honored at a May 4 banquet. The event was broadcast live on the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence’s Facebook page. Full video of the event can be found on OFE’s YouTube page.
