‘Peppa’s Cinema Party’ Is Coming to the Big Screen

One of the world’s most famous pigs—Peppa, of course—is heading to the big screen again for an hour-long release that aims to have kids celebrating with her.

Peppa’s Cinema Party, in theaters on February 9, includes 10 new episodes from season 10 of the popular show, along with five new songs and 11 interactive entertainment shorts.

“In celebration of the brand’s 20th anniversary and to mark such a monumental occasion, we wanted to throw the most epic party ever for Peppa and her friends,” Esra Cafer, Hasbro’s SVP Franchise Strategy and Management, Preschool & Fashion, tells Parents.

What’s more: “Episodes will be connected with never-before-seen interactive entertainment featuring little ones singing and playing along with their favorite onscreen characters,” says Cafer.

Along with the fun, the new episodes highlight various important themes, including friendship, confidence, kindness, thoughtfulness, and adventure.

Families will also get to see a party bus bonus episode and hear two familiar voices. Singer Katy Perry and her partner, actor Orlando Bloom—parents of daughter Daisy—are joining in on the celebration for the three-part “Wedding Party Special.” Perry voices Ms. Leopard, while Bloom is Mr. Raccoon.

This isn’t the first time Peppa Pig has graced the big screen. She’s back by popular demand and there’s no denying the British animated show’s popularity: It’s watched in more than 180 countries, as of 2023. Her popularity has even caused some American kids to talk with a British accent in what was dubbed “The Peppa Effect” a few years back.

“In many ways, Peppa is every kid’s best friend–whether it’s encouraging them to be their most confident selves or helping them navigate their own daily activities,” explains Cafer. “Kids are also hooked on the series’ relatable storylines, with many hearing and seeing versions of themselves through Peppa and friends.”

Peppa’s Cinema Party is being shown in the U.S., United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and Ireland. Families can grab tickets online.
