GET INSPIRED Point Edward business launches festive Kind Tree fundraiser AdminDecember 17, 2023064 views A Christmas tree outside of a Point Edward business is filled with messages of good tidings and cheer. Founder and Owner of Kind Décor Janet Hofstra said it’s part of the interactive Kind Tree event, supporting the Inn of the Good Shepherd. “It kind of creates a kind ripple effect, where there’s a lot of positivity just by writing nice quotes on the ornaments and then hanging them in the tree for everybody to look at,” said Hofstra. “If you just need a pick me up, you can just look at it and all the proceeds of the ornaments, which are $5, go to the Inn of the Good Shepherd. Hofstra said she would love to see 300 ornaments on the tree, with the money going to the people who need it most. “But with the community of Sarnia-Lambton, I think we could go way over,” she said. “It’s been going really, really well. Lots of our regular customers already came in for it and we’re hoping now, the last week before Christmas, to get a lot of extra traffic here to give, get an ornament, and create that kind of ripple effect in our community.” Kind Décor at 123 Michigan Ave. is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Source link
