Rugby Sevens: Black Ferns reach Singapore semi-finals with victory over Great Britain

Captain Risi Pouri-Lane’s try double has helped the Black Ferns Sevens ease past Great Britain 24-5 and into the semi-finals of the Singapore world series tournament.

Struggling for possession early, the NZ women took full advantage when they achieved it, with Pouri-Lane running in the opening try, after some lead-up interplay with Tyla King, and Theresa Setefano giving them a 12-0 lead at halftime.

The British struck from the restart, but Jorja Miller eased the Kiwis clear again, before Pouri-Lane put the seal on victory, sprinting 50 metres unopposed.
