Spain does not grant visas to Kosovo anesthesiologists – Telegraph

The Association of Anesthesiologists of Kosovo has been prevented from participating in the European Congress of Anesthesiologists, which has started its work in Barcelona, Spain.

Catalan media write that the reason for this is the fact that the Embassy of Spain in Skopje has refused to give any kind of visas to Kosovars, reports KTV.

The president of the Association of Anesthesiologists of Catalonia, Jaume Canet, said that personally and on behalf of the Catalan association, and later also on behalf of the European Association of Anesthesiologists, he sent a series of letters to the Spanish Embassy, but they did not taken into account, categorically refusing to provide Kosovars with visas.

The consul has repeatedly said that the request did not present the criteria for Kosovars: that the visit must be for humanitarian reasons, in the interest of Spain, or for any other official purpose.

The Catalan Association of Anesthesiologists has also protested at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Madrid, which has remained silent about the event. /Telegraph/
