Get ready to put your thinking cap on and put your sleuthing skills to the test! Because the Black Business Scavenger Hunt is back for its 5th year of excitement! On Sunday, August 31, Prosperity Market will conclude their 5th annual Black Business Scavenger Hunt with a special pop-up farmers market hosted at California African American Museum (CAAM). What is the Black Business Scavenger Hunt? In honor of Black Business Month this August, Prosperity Market founders, Kara Still and Carmen Dianne, created an interactive map with 120+ Black businesses, encouraging Angelenos to visit and support as many locations as possible in order to earn points and win prizes. The winners of the Black Business Scavenger Hunt will be announced and given their prizes during the pop-up market. Learn more about the scavenger hunt here! Prosperity Market Pop-Up On August 31, Prosperity Market and 50+ local vendors and farmers will take over CAAM for the pop-up market. Plus, they’ll have a live DJ, wine garden by 1010 Wine, community resources, a kids’ area by Teach to Reach, photo booth, and more! This event is free and open to the public. Some of the participating vendors and farmers include: Octavia’s Bookshelf Bold Swim Sherman Produce All Chill Ice Cream LA Philharmonic Pecan Amor Gloria’s Shito Plus, Prosperity Market’s mobile trailer will be on-site at the pop-up market! Envisioned as a farmers-market-on-wheels, attendees will be able to explore and shop the inside of the 48-foot trailer, stocked with goods from local and national businesses like Ghetto Gastro and Gloria’s Shito. What is Prosperity Market? Prosperity Market is a mobile farmers market featuring Black farmers, food producers, entrepreneurs, artists, florists, chefs, and more! They regularly host pop-up events around Los Angeles.
