Teaching Your Children About Investing

How would you suggest how to teach your child about investing.

My recommendations:
1.) Have a conversation with your children about money & investing

2.) Use the holidays and birthdays to give them stocks as gifts

3.) Use the money section of the newspaper to have conversations about investing

4.) Have conversations about household bills and budgeting

5.) Start investing small amounts of money with your child to invest in things that you use and purchase often. For example, if you buy your children a pair of Jordans, think about investing in Nike Stock.

Children are much more smarter than we give credit for. Most children can over the age of 7 can understand the importance and power of investing if you start talking to them about money and investing and modeling that behavior for them.
