Terri Sewell to announce funding for Black Belt resource center in Livingston | News


Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) will host a press conference on Friday, Aug. 2 at the University of West Alabama in Livingston for a $500,000 grant to build the Black Belt Development and Conservation Resource Center.

“The funding will be used to help spur innovation and entrepreneurship in the Black Belt,” said a press release from Sewell’s office. 

Sewell will make the announcement with Dr. Ken Tucker, President of the University of West Alabama. 

The press conference will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the Bell Conference Building at the University of West Alabama on 100 N. Washington Street in Livingston.
