The Truth About The New Verizon Credit Card

So today we are going to talk about Verizon credit card, which is going to splitting $1,000,000 with the early adaptors, could be a bonus of maybe $1000 bucks per person.

1. Requirements to qualify for this card
– I’m assuming that every single one of you watching this video is a Verizon wireless customers
– Because if you are not, then you cannot qualify
– And you also have to be the manager or the lines or the account owner

I thought:
– This was going to be for FiOS customers too
– But it might just be a move to get FiOS customers to get the wireless phone service also or to bring in new customers to Verizon wireless also
– However I think Verizon FiOS is great but the phone bill is too expensive ( I pay $188 with Tmobile 4 lines, – 55, -40 and /2 I only pay personally for my line $46 bucks )

2. Rewards: Verizon back ( because you can only redeem it for Verizon)
– Now this is not normal cashback you can spend anywhere
– It Verizon cash and the only place that accepts Verizon cash is Verizon
– Redeemable: wireless or FiOS bill, pay off a device, down payment, and buying eligible accessories.

Rewards Break down:
4% Back: Gas and groceries: which is pretty good

3% Back: restaurants, bars, fast food, and takeout.

2% Back: Paying Verizon wireless bill or FiOS bill or buying something with Verizon

1% back: on everything else

And Honestly:
– These are great rewards, with a no annual fee card ( compared to high-end cards like the American express gold)
– The only thing that it’s only redeemable at Verizon

But honestly:
– If you spend $1000 on Verizon every year ( 2% is 20$)
– 5000 on gas and groceries ( 4% is $200)
– 1000 on eating out (3% is $30 )
– $5000 on other stuff ( 1% is $50)
Overall: that’s $300 bucks a year, with no point limits. ( enough to cover 3-5 months of your Verizon bill) – Verizon math

3. Bonus: usually card only offer one bonus but the Verizon card offers 2, but they both have a catch to it

– Early Access Bonus: they are going to divide 1M across equally for al the people that get accepted during the early access window. 1000 people get accepted then all of you get $1000 dollars. ( but we know better, and Verizon has 151M subscribers – if 1% of them sign up that is 1.5 million: meaning everyone gets 66 cents ( not including the limits of manager and account holders sign up, but the point is the odds of getting $1000 bucks is slim)

– Welcome bonus: if you use your Verizon card to pay a Verizon for 24 consecutive months, then you geta $100. ( If you pay 100 bucks per month for your bill, that’s $2400, but at least I got $100 bucks from Verizon.

Why: Plus its smart way to get people to set up auto-pay, and stay loyal to Verizon.

4. What I think:
– Verizon’s phone bill is very expensive
– Their internet is very expensive
– And as Tmobile keeps growing, ( this is a good way to keep customers loyal)
( but no idea is stays locked up for long, tmobile, sprint, at&t will most likely follow along)

Aside from those rewards, it does have a few cool Perks:
– No foreign transactions fee ( but who is going to use this card to travel honestly)
– Travel and emergency services
– Rental car privilege

Imagine: if the welcome bonus was an iPhone 12 and only for new Verizon customers: the number of people that would switch in a heartbeat would be insane. ( requirement to stay on the line 24 months) – or also include FiOS customers.
