Frugal living is in when it comes to personal finance, we get it. And we definitely incorporate frugality into our lives to help us live with intention. It makes perfect sense to make smart financial decisions by avoiding money mistakes like buying things that don’t really bring us joy.

But like we say in all of our videos, we believe in balance. There are plenty of videos out there saying don’t buy this or don’t buy stuff. I mean, we even have one right? But that’s not balanced is it? The reality for us is that some of the best financial decisions we have ever made were the times when we used our money to enrich our lives through experiences and, yes, sometimes even things.

The key to avoiding money regrets is not to avoid spending at all costs. The key is to use frugal living as a means of making sure that you don’t buy stuff that doesn’t actually matter to you and instead spend it on things that truly bring you joy.
