This Is Why You Cant Save Money

The reason I couldn’t save money and maybe you can relate, is because I had a wrong perception about money, money to me was something I had to work for in order to buy things that I needed and I wanted. So if that’s the idea, money is all about spending, and the only time you save is to buy something you don’t have the money for at the moment.

1. Money is More than a Tool for Spending ( Money is Time )
– I have to warn you about this, once you see money this way, you have to be careful taking it to far

Questions:
– How much money do you make per year?
Take that number and divide it by 2000, that’s an hourly wage estimate. If you already know how much you make per hour then great.
Then I want you to subtract about 20%, of the cost of earnings I call this.
– Clothes you buy
– Meals
– Time you spend on the road to get to work
– And all the money it costs you to make money

Here is where things get crazy:
– If you make $40,000 a year, that’s about $20 an hour
– After the cost of earning money, it is more like $16
– Now Look at your phone, laptop, or tv (wherever you are watching this video ) how much did it cost?
– This phone cost me $333, that’s 20 hours of my time ( or 2 days and a half of work )
– That vacation that costs you $2000 dollars, that’s 125 hours ( 15 days)
– That rent of $1500 each month, its 1125 hours each year, more than half of your working time

Now:
– Imagine you on your deathbed
– No way to buy any more time
– Looking back and seeing how you spent it, would it have been well spent?

2. Money can Work for you
– To make more money, you don’t have to work harder
– You can you the same money you worked for, to work for you ( money can become your employee instead of you its employee )
– So how does that work
Just like last time I have to warm you
– By nature we are greedy, selfish and opportunist
– We want things that take a lot of work, as fast as possible
– And that’s why a lot of people get scammed

Here how I learned to make more money:
– Using money to buy things at a discount and selling it for more (arbitrage )
– Giving companies my capital to buy a piece of the company ( ownership investments )
– Using money to lend it out to people ( Money lending )
– Using money to start a business (entrepreneurship)

The benefit is this:
– If for every $100 you invest you can make $8 after taxes and fees ( what does that mean )
– It means that investing $200 will give you 1 Hour of your time back
– Do you get that, it means that when money works for you, eventually you won’t have to work anymore

3. Cut the Things that Spend your time, and that don’t allow money to work for you
– Money cant work for you, if you spend it all each month
– So you have to cut the things you don’t need
– Get a budget and get things in order

– Rent/Mortgage:
– Utilities
– Groceries: $500 no expertise in home cooking and no disable in eating out
– Transportation: Car payments $700
